‘The Woodshed’, Onny Meadow Sculpture Trail, Craven Arms, Shropshire.

We were commissioned to create a permanent installation as part of the Onny Meadow Land Art trail in Craven Arms, Shropshire. The installation was completed in July 2011 and the sculpture trail will officially open in May 2012. The site chosen for the installation was a disused timber framed shed with a concrete base and tin roof.

‘The Woodshed’ was designed to encourage people to interact with the structure and explore the look, feel and sound of the materials used. The installation is made up of a free-standing mild steel frame, hung with locally sourced Douglas Fir and Larch timbers. All the materials are untreated so that they will age naturally with the existing shed structure.  Click here for photos of the community involvement day and the construction of the shed.
